Örreke’s most popular wood workshops include making jewellery boxes, hot plates and planes. In the run-up to Christmas, we decorate wooden Christmas decorations. At children’s camps, we make wooden toys or craft little insect huts. On children’s birthdays, making spinning tops is a fun activity for everyone.
Wood workshops are a great way to get a first introduction to woodworking materials and techniques. We work with Amanita, a recycling company, who cut out wood pieces for us from scraps. Lember Design is also a great partner of ours.
In the workshop, we sand, decorate, glue and, if necessary, oil. We also have to fiddle a bit with how the pieces fit together. We don’t use complicated tools or techniques for crafting.
